SK Incheon Petrochemical is demonstrating its commitment to community well-being by launching the “Hope Raising Athletic Class” for the year. This initiative is designed to support the emotional stability and physical development of children with developmental disabilities in Incheon’s Seo-gu district.
A Collaborative Effort for Enhanced Development
The Hope Raising Athletic Class is a collaborative sports education program spearheaded by SK Incheon Petrochemical, working in tandem with the West welfare Center for the Disabled. This program directly addresses the needs of special class students within elementary schools in Seo-gu, Incheon. By providing targeted physical education, the initiative aims to improve both the physical capabilities and social adaptation skills of participating children.

Program Details: A Season of Activities
This year’s athletic class features a diverse range of physical activities, including soccer, basketball, and rhythmic gymnastics.The program will involve 119 students from special classes across 13 elementary schools in Seo-gu, Incheon. Scheduled from April to November, the program includes a total of 12 sessions, culminating in small-scale seasonal competitions. These events are designed to foster cooperation and a sense of achievement among the students.

The company has also been running the ‘Environmental Ecological Forest Class’ to further support children with developmental disabilities.As 2023, they have expanded their efforts to include customized education programs aimed at promoting independence among adults with developmental disabilities.
