“Very important to the success that we’ve had. He wears a lot of different hats,” Sirianni said about Patullo. “That continuity is really important because he knows what I’m thinking in certain situations, how you want things to be taught,” Sirianni continued. Patullo’s journey from a standout player at South Florida—where he played quarterback and wide receiver—to an influential assistant in the NFL is nothing short of inspiring. His coaching career began as a grad assistant at his alma mater. In 2007, Patullo made his NFL coaching debut with the Kansas City Chiefs as an offensive assistant and quality control coach. Following a stint coaching with the Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, and New York Jets, Patullo found his way back to the Indianapolis Colts in 2018 where he served as a wide receivers coach before transitioning to become the pass game specialist. This unique blend of experiences brings valuable perspectives to the Eagles’ offensive strategy.

Patullo’s background coaching both quarterbacks and wide receivers is a rare commodity in the NFL. He noted, “Being able to coach both positions, you can really marry the two.” His considerable quarterback experience, both as a player and coach, helps Patullo impart a deeper understanding of the game from the perspective of the position. In his tenure with the Colts, Patullo relied on his quarterback knowledge to guide wide receivers, helping them understand not just their role but the tactics developing across the field.
