In response to the widespread devastation caused by recent forest fires, Shinsegae Group has announced a ₩500 million (approximately $370,000 USD) contribution to support recovery efforts. This financial aid will be channeled through the Hope Bridge National disaster Relief Association, ensuring that resources are directed towards both immediate needs and long-term restoration projects.

E-Mart and Affiliates Mobilize to Provide Essential Supplies

Beyond the monetary donation, key Shinsegae affiliates, including E-Mart and E-Mart 24, are actively providing crucial supplies to those impacted by the fires. These include daily necessities, sanitary products, and clothing, distributed in collaboration with local governments and relief organizations. This coordinated effort ensures that aid reaches those who need it most efficiently.

E-Mart 24, the convenience store chain, has already delivered over 600 relief packages containing essential items like masks, beverages, and energy bars to affected areas, including Uiseong-gun and Sancheong-gun.

In February of last year, E-Mart donated ₩100 million to the Korean Red cross, contributing significantly to the organization’s emergency relief efforts. This donation also included 250 emergency relief sets prepared by the Korean Red Cross.
