Financial Aid Dispersed to Support Women and Children Battling Cancer

In a move to alleviate the financial burdens faced by families affected by cancer, the Secretariat of Welfare (SEDEBI) has distributed significant financial aid to beneficiaries in the Huetamo region of Michoacán. The initiative aims to ensure that economic constraints do not hinder access to vital treatments and therapies.

A total of 364,000 pesos was allocated in March to support 71 women participating in the “Women with Breast and/or Cervicouterine Invasive Cancer” program, along with 20 families enrolled in the “Families Caring for Girls and Boys with Cancer” program. The funds were dispersed during an event held in the main square of Tacámbaro, benefiting residents from municipalities including Huetamo, San Lucas, Carácuaro, Tacámbaro, Turicato, Nocupétaro, and madero.
