Posed as an employee of a large software company

A short time later, the woman’s computer screen froze. A phone number became visible, which the woman then called. On the other end, a person answered and pretended to be an employee of a large software company. This person informed the woman that her computer was no longer accessible and that she was not allowed to turn it off.

On Sunday, the woman noticed from bank statements that a total of 16 transfers in a mid-five-digit euro amount had been made from her account.
