With the half-year report for the fourth grade, parents of primary school children receive a recommendation for their child’s further educational path. In January and February, the registration and job interviews then take place in most schools. But how do the schools in Dormagen organize their registrations during the pandemic and when do they take place? A list:
Bertha v. Suttner comprehensive school
At the Bertha-von-Suttner Comprehensive School in Nievenheim, registration and job interviews are held at school all day on January 29th, January 31st and February 1st. In doing so, they “actively ensure” that the Corona Protection Ordinance is observed. This means visitors must be tested or vaccinated. Masks are compulsory on the premises, FFP2 masks are recommended. Each child may only be accompanied by one adult. The registration for the appointments takes place in an online appointment booking system via the homepage “bvsdormagen.de”. Dates are currently still available. The six-stream school is expecting a similarly high number of registrations this year as for 2021/22, “this is indicated by the requests for dates currently being received,” says Axel Frieling, Didactic Director.
Norbert Gymnasium Knechtsteden

It involves face-to-face talks in which the parents come to the school with the child and a 20-minute talk allows them to get to know each other. The process runs until January 21st. On January 29, the parents will be informed about the possible admission, there are 150 places available. 230 interviews are planned by the end of next week.
