885 schoolchildren of the Amur Region will receive governor’s scholarships for winning or prizes at the municipal and regional stages of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the region.
“We will pay almost 13 million rubles to the Amur schoolchildren for their successes at the Olympiads. At the municipal level, out of 885 winners, 159 will receive two or more scholarships. Seven participants of the regional tour can boast of this, – said the Governor of the Amur Region Vasily Orlov. “The regional government is interested in our youth staying and working in their native region, and every effort is being made for this.”
The winners of the municipal stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren are paid 10 thousand rubles each, the winners of the regional stage – 15 thousand rubles each, the winners of the regional stage – 20 thousand rubles each.
The scholarship is personal in nature and is paid in a lump sum for each title of the winner and awardee. So, the seventh-grader from school No. 3 in the city of Skovorodino Yulia Larina became the record holder for the number of scholarships at the municipal level. By participating and winning in olympiads in various subjects, she earned eight scholarships at once.
Six scholarships will be given to Alisa Sviridova, a tenth-grader from gymnasium No. 2 in Tynda, her peer from school No. 7 of the closed city administrative center, Tsiolkovsky, Sergei Klimov, and a seventh-grade student from Lyceum No. 11 in Blagoveshchensk, Maria Mikhailenko. Five schoolchildren will receive five governor’s scholarships.
Payments will be credited no later than August 31st.
