The data communication scholarship program includes training in Tbilisi and online work on journalistic stories with the support of mentors.

What participants will do: Research, write, design and publish data stories under the guidance of the program organizers.

From YOU: journalists or civil activists/designers/programmers working with the media from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan; Ready to develop in data storytelling and journalism, able to write and publish up to 3 data-driven stories on political/economic topics.

Also, to participate in the program, you will need to speak English at a basic level; the opportunity to participate in online training, the opportunity to spend 2 weeks (at your own expense) in Tbilisi in November 2022 (costs will be reimbursed after the publication of materials).

Duration of the program: 6 – 8 months of winter-spring 2022-2023.

6-8 scholarship holders will be selected.

The working language of the program is English (final materials may be in Russian).
