Scholarship awarded to student from Imperial, California | Mexicali News

With the intention of strengthening the training of talent in the Cali-Baja region, the scholarship fund of the Friends of CETYS Foundation and CETYS University carried out the symbolic delivery of the first economic support for professional studies.

The scholarship named: Friends & Family Scholarship which is the result of the philanthropy and union of the Imperial Valley community in favor of binational education. Where the beneficiary will have the right to 100% support in the payment of tuition as well as the obligation to be part of one of the cultural workshops or leadership and sports activities offered by the comprehensive education that characterizes CETYS University.

On this occasion, the recipient of this scholarship is Blanca Esthela Ramirezwho thanks to the scholarship will be a first-semester student in Electronic Cybernetics Engineering at CETYS Universidad Campus Mexicali, in addition is a recent graduate of Imperial High School located in Imperial, Californiawho stood out for his academic career and development in student leadership activities and taste for robotics and programming.

“CETYS University is an institution by and for the community whose mission is the development of valuable human capital who act as leaders with a positive impact. This scholarship endorses that commitment of the community through the foundation, as well as the intention to continue uniting ties with Southern California and training successful young people who benefit the community” said Dr. Fernando León García.

For his part, the president of the Friends of CETYS Foundation explained that the mission of the foundation consists of positioning the institution in Southern California together with supporting the development of the Imperial Valley community through quality education crossing the border between both countries.

It is worth mentioning that the call for students in the Senior stage of the Imperial County high schools will open in September and joins the various financial supports offered by CETYS University to its students.
