Recognizing the importance of public health and safety, samcheok City is conducting intensive inspections of local food service establishments and accommodations. These measures aim to prevent any inconvenience to visitors during the National Forest Leaders’ Competition.

Thorough Inspection Details

the city-wide inspection targets 347 food service shops and 38 lodging facilities. Four dedicated inspection teams, comprising eight individuals, including consumer food hygiene monitoring center staff and honorary hygiene monitors, will oversee the process. The inspections, lasting between 7 and 11 days, will focus on several key areas:

• Verification of health certifications and personal hygiene practices of business owners and employees.
• Adherence to established food hygiene regulations.
• Proper handling,readiness,storage,and sales practices,with a focus on expiration dates.
• Compliance with sanitation protocols, including the use of hygiene masks and aprons.

The inspections extend beyond basic hygiene to encompass broader aspects of hospitality. Inspectors will provide guidance on food poisoning prevention, promote effective hygiene management practices, and emphasize the importance of kindness and customer service. Moreover, they will verify compliance with rate table labeling standards and ensure fair pricing practices are in place.
