Salies-du-Salat Basketball: BCSS NF3 Promotion

by Archynetys Sports Desk

As for all clubs, the end of year break has come to an end for Basket Comminges Salies-du-Salat. A very good year for the SF1 of the Commingeois club with this title of Pre-National 2025 champions and accession to the National 3 series. The break is an opportunity to take a quick look at this first “fall/winter 2025” block in Pool C of the regular phase.

The route:

On its home field, BC Salies-du-Salat won twice, ahead of Auch (63-60 J2) and Feytiat Basket (70-48 J9); 3 losses against St Delphin (56-90 J1), Coteaux du Luy (55-75 J5) and Bordeaux EC (84-89 J8). Outside of its bases the BCSS had to lower its flag three times, Hagetmau/Momuy (62-69 J2), Cornebarrieu (61-73 J4), Chalosse (50-63 J7). The Commingeoises signed two performances, double winners in the rooms of Pessac (69-49 J6) and Dax (65-49 J10). The BCSS girls will resume the championship on Sunday January 11, 2026, for the 11th day (end of the first leg), it will be at home with the reception of Le Taillan Basket, currently 5th in the group.

The team:

Samir Sebai’s players have a positive attitude to approach each match without complexes; the collective game relies on fast runs, risk-taking and sharp counter-attacks in transitions to changes of possession. The Salisian team maintains its defensive strength with heavy individual pressing. The BCSS can count offensively on a range of strong forces with several scorers likely to pass the 10-point mark, such as Selena Adou, Mélanie Rabenjamina (typical leader-scorer), the interior Telma Ducasse and Selma Errachid.

In the game in transition and offensive possessions, players such as Mila Olive, Marie Lou Morel, Camille Debaud, Gaëlle Cazaulon, bring impact thanks to their “exceeding function” skills.

The balance sheet:

Salies players have therefore played 10 championship matches to date; still under the orders of their main coach Samir Sebai, the Commingeoises have made a very good start to the campaign – Salies-du-Salat promoted team – with 4 victories for 6 defeats (40%, Home 2-3 Ext. 2-3).

The balance could even have been in perfect balance if the coin had fallen on the right side when receiving the Bordeaux leader (Bordeaux Etudiants Club) with a narrow defeat after 2 overtimes.

Basketball Comminges Salies-du-Salat discovers with its very young squad – almost entirely trained in Comminges – the national level games. Currently ranked 7th (out of 12) with 14 pts, the Haut-Garonne club is on target to preserve its place in this division at the end of the 2025/2026 season.
