From rififi to the Greens training center. The Team reveals this Saturday evening that AS Saint-Étienne lodged a complaint against X following a violent hazing within its training center on July 24, the evening of the Coupe de France final against PSG.

According to the sports daily, a large number of residents of the Etrat were gathered to follow the final. The “older” would have taken the opportunity to hazing newcomers. In the process, the hazing which usually consists of singing your favorite song in front of an audience of players would have degenerated.

Two teenagers were reportedly beaten up by their “comrades”. Result: one of them would have suffered a concussion. But neither of the two apprentice footballers would have needed to be hospitalized.

Layoff of the “bizutors”

The traumatized adolescents nevertheless reported it to their educators. An internal investigation quickly determined the responsibilities of three young people not all of age.

The club summoned two residents to “an interview prior to a possible sanction” and “laid them off as a precaution”, according to a statement. A third was temporarily suspended.

The complaint against X filed by ASSE gave rise to the opening of a gendarmerie investigation. The parents of the minor victims, warned by the club, have not yet determined their position in this case. “The club is ready to work with the authorities to determine precisely all the responsibilities,” said ASSE in its press release.
