The Ryukyu Golden Kings Academy is set to host it’s second “Skill Up Clinic for Women Only” in 2025, an initiative designed to elevate the basketball prowess and tactical understanding of young female athletes. This intensive clinic targets girls in the fourth through sixth grades, providing them with a unique opportunity to hone their skills under the guidance of experienced coaches.

this year’s clinic boasts an impressive lineup of instructors, including coaches from the King’s Youth Team and Academy, as well as respected coaches from across Okinawa Prefecture and beyond.The emphasis is on collaborative learning, fostering an environment where participants can learn from each other, both on and off the court. Previous events have highlighted the enthusiasm of the young players, who actively engage with the coaches and their peers, creating a dynamic and supportive atmosphere.
This clinic is a valuable opportunity for players to grow by improving each other and experiencing the depths of basketball.
Clinic Details: Dates, Location, and Cost
The two-day clinic is scheduled for:
- Day 1: Sunday, May 25th, 2025
- Day 2: Sunday, June 1st, 2025
Each session will run for 90 minutes, from 18:00 to 19:30, with registration opening at 17:30. The venue is the Okinawa Suntory Arena Sub Arena, a state-of-the-art facility perfect for skill development.
Participation Fees:
- One Day: King’s Academy Students: ¥2,000 / General: ¥3,000
- Both Days: King’s Academy students: ¥3,000 / general: ¥5,000
Participants wishing to attend the second day after attending the first will incur an additional fee of ¥2,000 for Academy students and ¥3,000 for general students. payment is required via bank transfer upon confirmation of participation.
Curriculum: Essential Skills for Young Players
The clinic’s curriculum is carefully designed to focus on skills that are crucial for players at this stage of their development.
