The feud between Donald Trump and Elon Musk intensifies, with accusations flying and Russia offering to broker a peace deal in exchange for Starlink shares.
The public falling out between Elon Musk and Donald Trump has taken several unexpected turns, including an offer from Russia to mediate the dispute. The disagreement, which involves criticisms of policy and personal accusations, has drawn commentary from various figures, including Russian ex -president Dmitry Medvedev.
According to one observer, “Musk has built a ‘certain political position’ over the past years and therefore ‘individual disagreements will remain individual disagreements’.”
Medvedev jokingly offered that Russia would provide a peace agreement between the two men in exchange for shares of Starlink. He stated, “We are ready for a reasonable price to arrange the conclusion of a peace agreement between D (Donald Trump) and E (Elon Muskem) and accept as Starlink’s shares.”
The public spat began after the US President addressed the issue at a Thursday press conference with the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
“We had a great relationship, but I don’t know if we will still have it,” said Trump, who stated he is “disappointed”. He also expressed confusion over Musk’s recent anger, referencing the billionaire’s criticism of Trump’s “Great, beautiful Budget Law” as a “disgusting outrage.”
Trump claimed that Musk had seen the law beforehand.

Musk responded on network X, stating that he had never seen the law and that Trump had never shown it to him. He further suggested that Trump would not win the presidential election without his support and floated the idea of a third political party.
Musk also made a serious allegation, claiming that Trump’s name appears in the unreleased documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
“It’s time to drop a really big bomb: Donald Trump is in Epstein’s writings. That’s the real reason they weren’t published. Wishing a nice day, DJT!” stated Musk.
adding another layer to the controversy, former Trump advisor Steve Bannon suggested that Trump’s administration should deport Musk, who is originally from South Africa,as an illegal immigrant.
“They should start a formal investigation into his immigration status because I am deeply convinced that he is an illegal immigrant and should be immediately expelled,” Bannon said.
