Robot Rampage: Restaurant Chaos Caught on Video | California

by Archynetys World Desk

A robot caused chaos in a restaurant in California by dancing uncontrollably, breaking plates and crockery in the process. It ultimately took the intervention of several employees to bring it under control.

Robots are increasingly present in the restaurant sector, particularly as waiters, a reality already observable in certain establishments in the province, notably in certain St-Hubert restaurants or at Barbies Resto Bar Grill in Sainte-Foy.

But in this case, one of them got carried away during a choreography at a Chinese fondue restaurant in San Jose, California, reports Futurism.

A video relayed on social networks shows the robot knocking over dishes, smashing plates and throwing chopsticks in all directions. He wears an orange apron that reads “I’m good”, an inscription that ironically contrasts with the chaotic scene.

Staff had to intervene, and even three employees struggled to control the machine, having to bend down several times to avoid its flailing, sauce-covered arms.

If the scene made several Internet users laugh, Futurism points out that others have expressed concerns, notably pointing to the apparent absence of an emergency stop button.
