The 34-year-old from Babenhausen was extremely uncooperative towards the alarmed police. How and where the gunshot wound occurred is not yet certain.
DARMSTADT – On Thursday afternoon at around 4 p.m., a man with a gunshot wound to his leg came to a hospital in Darmstadt and was extremely uncooperative with regard to the alarmed police patrol, as the police report said. The fact that this is the rapper arrest warrant originating from Babenhausen has now been confirmed, even if the police and public prosecutor’s office have not explicitly confirmed this.
The investigation suggests that the 34-year-old inflicted the gunshot wound himself, the police said on Friday at 12.30 p.m. On Friday morning, however, the police could not confirm media reports that the rapper inflicted the gunshot wound on drugs and alcohol intoxication in Frankfurt’s Bahnhofsviertel. Initially, the investigation was carried out in all directions, according to police spokeswoman Andrea Löb, it was also initially impossible to rule out third-party debt.
The public prosecutor’s office in Darmstadt is also involved in the investigation, at whose request the rapper’s registration address and a bar in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district were searched on Thursday evening. However, the searches did not yield any information that could help clarify the matter. According to prosecutor Joachim Hauschild, he is being investigated for a violation of the weapons law.
Spokeswoman Eva Bredow-Cordier could neither confirm nor deny that the Darmstadt hospital where the rapper is being treated is the Darmstadt Clinic.
The real name of the arrest warrant is Aykut Anhan. He was born in Offenbach in 1985. The rapper released his first solo album “Azzlack Stereotype” in 2010, this June his current work “The White Album” was released. For the first time he landed in the German single charts in 2013 with the song “Chabos know who the Babo is”. The Langenscheidt publishing house chose the word “Babo” in the same year as the youth word of the year. Like many other artists during the Corona pandemic, arrest warrant is currently playing drive-in concerts in German cities. The next performance is planned for July 24th in Karlsruhe. It is not yet clear whether the concert is at risk due to the rapper’s injury.
