Quick recipe: Fried rice with beef

This quick stir-fried rice with beef recipe can be an all-in-one dish or served as a side dish.

Ingredients for making stir-fried rice with beef

2 tablespoons of chicken broth

2 tablespoons of rice alcohol or other sherry (or 2 tablespoons of extra broth)

2 tablespoons of soy sauce

½ teaspoon white pepper

1 teaspoon of sesame oil

1 tablespoon of rapeseed oil in two portions

1 finely chopped broccoli: it is a source of vitamin C and antioxidants

· 50 grams of finely chopped carrots: rich in fiber, vitamins A, B6 and K, the carrot prevents cardiovascular disease and lung cancer.

2 eggs, beaten

300 grams of cooked brown rice, cold

330 grams of lean beef, cooked and diced

3 white onions, finely chopped

For the sauce, combine the broth, rice alcohol, soy sauce, pepper and sesame oil in a bowl and set aside.

In a non-stick frying pan or wok, heat a teaspoon of oil over high heat. Add the broccoli, carrots and bell pepper, then cook for 3 to 4 minutes until cooked through, but still crunchy. Remove the vegetables from the pan and set aside.

Pour the remaining two teaspoons of oil into the pan and then add the beaten eggs. When the eggs start to set, add the rice and beef. Cook everything and stir, making sure to break the beaten egg, until the mixture is hot.

Add the vegetables then the sauce. Mix all the ingredients well. Decorate with chopped white onion rings.
