Successful conclusion of the National Endurance Day Cup race competitions

Doha, December 28 (QNA) – The 120-kilometre National Endurance Day Cup race, organized by the Qatar Endurance Racing Club, concluded at the Marathon Village in Sealine, amid large participation from elite riders and horses.

The results of the race resulted in the jockey Mohammed Nayef Saleh Al Marri winning first place on the horse “Zumbala BG”, owned and trained by Abdullah Shaker Mudhakhir Ayed Al Shammari, while the jockey Nasser Hamad Al Qahtani came in second place on the horse “Aleco Des Claps”, owned by Yves Sion Stud, and under the supervision of trainer Faleh Salem Al Hajri.

In third place came the jockey Saeed bin Ali Ahmed Al Balushi, riding the horse “Casmac Morning Star”, owned by Sheikh Mohammed Nawaf bin Nasser Al Thani, and under the supervision of the trainer Ahmed Salem Ahmed Al Balushi, while in fourth place was the jockey Tamim Jaber Abdullah Ali Al Marri, riding the horse “Zako”, owned and trained by Salem Ali Jahman Al Ghufrani Al Marri, while the jockey Abdullah Sami Abdullah Awad Al Mahri came in fifth place on the horse “Fasil de Largat IA”, owned and trained. Abdullah Tuwaim Ali Al Marri.

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Nawaf Al Thani, President of the Endurance Racing Club, crowned the winners.

The horseback shooting championship competitions in the professional category resulted in the jockey Abdul Rahman Issa Al-Ishaq winning first place, followed in second place by the jockey Osama Abdullah Al-Tamimi, while the jockey Walid Khawajkia came in third place.

In the amateur category competitions in the serial track of the shooting championship on horseback, the jockey Abdullah Ali Al Ansari won first place, followed in second place by the jockey Hamad Atiq Al Marri, then the jockey Hamad Ali Al Ardi in third place.

The professional category competitions in the dish track resulted in Osama Abdullah Al-Tamimi winning first place, followed by Abdul Rahman Issa Al-Ishaq in second place, then Walid Khawajkiyah in third place.

In turn, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Nawaf Al Thani, President of the Qatar Endurance Racing Club, praised the great success achieved by the National Endurance Day Cup race at all technical and organizational levels, praising the outstanding level presented by the riders throughout the race competitions.

The President of the Qatar Endurance Racing Club pointed out that the strong competition witnessed by the race reflects the great development witnessed by the sport of endurance and endurance in the State of Qatar, whether in terms of the technical readiness of the riders or the efficiency of the participating horses, in addition to adherence to the regulations and standards of the International Equestrian Federation, which confirms the success of the preparation and training programs, and the keenness of the owners and trainers to provide the best levels, which contributes to raising the classification of Qatari races and enhancing its presence on the international scene.

For his part, Mr. Mohammed Majid Al-Sulaiti, Vice President of the Qatar Endurance Racing Club, stressed that the strong competition witnessed in the National Endurance Day Cup race, and the distinguished organization, befits a precious national occasion, pointing out that the success of this event reflects the great development that the sport of endurance and endurance has reached in Qatar, whether at the level of personnel, infrastructure, or the quality of participants.
