It was premiered yesterday evening, November 24, 2022, in the Ridotto of the Teatro Regio, the 2023 billboard of the Parma Concert Society. The historic institution, founded in 1894, is among the oldest in Italy and in over a century of history has brought many legends of music to the ducal city. An important tradition that will also continue with the season scheduled for next year, presented yesterday by the President Davide Battistini and the Artistic Director Giampaolo Bandini in an evening embellished by the splendid concert of the violinist Dominic Nordio con the Orchestra I Musici di Parma.

During the evening, the President awarded the engineer Francesco Gallieri, the first member of the Società dei Concerti since its renewal in 2015, followed by Stefano Campanini, Vice-President of the Conservatory Student Council, with whom a close collaboration was started, and Alberto Triola, Superintendent of La Toscanini, with whom an important synergy has begun.

The season will kick off with the expected New Year’s concert, on January 1 at the Teatro Regio, with the Filarmonici di Busseto, guest star Gianluca Littera, harmonica. The first date of Concert season at the Teatro Regio it will be on January 29, non-subscription, and will be the result of an important collaboration with the Teatro Regio di Parma and the Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic. It will have a strong symbolic meaning because it will see the stage being shared by a Ukrainian violinist, Valery Sokolov, and a Russian conductor, Stanislav Kochanovsky».

The season at the Regio will continue with a duo of exceptional cellists: Mario Brunello and Giovanni Sollima with music ranging from Baroque to Queen (February 26). Then make way for a young talent by now very launched, the violinist Giuseppe Gibboni, with the Perugia Chamber Orchestra conducted by Enrico Bronzi (March 5). In the spring, the awaited return of the pianist Grigory Sokolov (March 27) and the debut of a young certainty of Italian pianism such as Leonora Armellini. The final concert will coincide with the final event of the Paganini Guitar Festival and will feature guitar stars Zoran Dukic and Aniello Desiderio.

The chamber season at the House of Music it will be called “Images” and will have the program music as a leitmotif. On 20 February, the inauguration with the pianist Boris Petruschansky ei Pictures at an exhibition by Musorgsky. They will be followed by the pianist Olaf John Laneri (March 6); the Faccini Piano Duo (March 20); the flautist Tommaso Benciolini with the Appassionata string ensemble (April 17); the young Trio Eidos, winner of the online contest organized by the Società dei Concerti during the pandemic (October 9); the flautist Paolo Taballione with the pianist Gesualdo Coggi (October 16), the cellist Enrico Dindo with the pianist Alessandro Marangoni (October 23).

The program will be enriched with other initiatives much loved by the public: between March and December, four events for children and families from the series “Families Corner”; from 25 to 28 May the Paganini Guitar Festival, with great artists such as the Paraguayan guitarist Berta Rocha, fresh winner of a Latin Grammy, and a rich program of concerts, exhibitions, competitions and presentations; between June and September the summer series “A pinch of the moon” e “Music with a view”created together with Amur.
