In March 2022, Pilipili made history as the first lion cub born at Lincoln Park Zoo in 20 years. He was later joined by brothers Pesho, Sidhai, and Lomelok. Sadly, Lomelok passed away in June 2024.
The Lion’s Pride at Lincoln Park Zoo
Currently, Pilipili, Pesho, and Sidhai form a bachelor pride in the lion habitat of the zoo’s Pepper Family Wildlife Center. They interact with their father Jabari and mother Zari, as well as Zari’s adult sisters Hasira and Cleo, who live as a separate pride.
