The Banque de France has published the results of its survey on French financial culture. At first glance, the results are honorable: the score of 13/21 is in line with the average of the other countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
This study, which could reassure us, includes in the financial culture both the management of the budget and savings. We can rejoice that the majority of French people are committed to good daily management of their budget, but the lack of knowledge of our compatriots on the subjects of savings appears flagrant. This is not without consequences for savers and our economy.
