Officials reminded about walking dogs in the suburbs of Aktau

The owner and responsible person of pets is obliged to carry a leash with them, and if necessary, immediately put it on the pet. Walk dogs on a leash no longer than two meters in places marked with a prohibition sign.

In walking areas, the pet must be muzzled, and the owner must adjust the length of the leash so that the dog cannot show aggression towards his relatives and others.

In addition, pets are not allowed to bathe in fountains, as well as on vacationer beaches.

In places of public catering, in shopping centers, grocery stores, religious organizations, children’s institutions and others, only “service dogs” and the visually impaired with guide dogs are allowed to stay. It is allowed to stay in cultural institutions in case of exhibitions, entertainment and mass events with the participation of dogs.

Places for walking pets designate local executive bodies.

Article 407-2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan regulates what punishment may be imposed for violation of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of responsible treatment of animals.

Recall that the video with dead stray animals was provided by local animal rights activists.

An Aktau ecologist called it illegal.
