NBC news has announced that noreen Gillespie will be joining the network as a senior vice president, taking on the role of head of news standards and practices. Gillespie will report to Rebecca Blumenstein, the president of editorial at NBC News. Previously, Gillespie served as a journalism director at Microsoft’s Trusted Technology Group. She also held various positions at The Associated Press,including global business editor,deputy managing editor for U.S. news, and deputy sports editor. gillespie is scheduled to commence her new role on Monday, September 29.
Newsmax Revamps Weekday Evening Lineup
Newsmax is implementing changes to it’s weekday evening schedule, which will affect Greta van Susteren.Starting Monday, September 9, Van Susteren’s show, The Record, will move from 6 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET. According to the network, this shift will place her “at the heart of momentous breaking stories as the market closes, court hearings end, and Congress adjourns.” The Chris Salcedo Show will move to 5 p.m. ET, followed by carl Higbie frontline, which will take over the 6 p.m. ET slot. The remainder of the evening lineup will remain unchanged.
