No concerts in Antwerp: Celine Dion cancels the dates of her tour in Europe

“I’m so sorry to disappoint you all again,” Dion wrote on Twitter on Friday. “But even if it breaks my heart, it’s best if we cancel everything until I’m ready to be on stage again. I’m not giving up and I can’t wait to see you guys again.”

Of the more than 20 concerts across Europe in 2023 and 2024, three in Belgium are also cancelled: on September 17th, 18th and 20th, the 55-year-old should appear in the Antwerp Sportpaleis. Tickets would be refunded, ticket holders will be sent to the one with information, it said.

The “My Heart Will Go On” singer had already completed the North American part of the “Courage World Tour” when the corona pandemic broke out and the tour had to be paused from March 2020. Dion later shared that she had been diagnosed with a rare neurological condition called stiff person syndrome. She suffers from muscle cramps and sometimes has trouble walking and singing.

Dion released her album Courage in November 2019. In total, Dion has sold more than 250 million albums worldwide and is one of the most successful musicians of her generation. (dpa/belga/calü)
