A Perth miner is going through the risk of a very long detention time period in Balinese after becoming arrested by police on the island for alleged possession of methamphetamine.
Nicholas Simon Lee was reportedly arrested just after his mansion was ransacked by law enforcement Tuesday evening.
Inside of, police reportedly discovered .82 grams of methamphetamine belonging to Mr. Lee, according to 9 Information Thursday night.
She was with one more person at the time.
The 50-year-previous male, at first from Perth, was on getaway on the preferred tourist island after traveling from Papua New Guinea, the place he performs in the country’s mining business.
Law enforcement say Mr. Lee had been on the Indonesian island for two months prior to his arrest and bought methamphetamine in Kuta for close to $ 150.
Legal professional Edward Pangkahila reported Mr. Lee was upset by his decision and apologized to his loved ones and good friends.
“He explained he stopped doing (meth) for four years. . . and he began accomplishing it once more when he arrived to Bali, ”Pangkahila claimed.
“He’s incredibly (sorry) about the problem.”
Mr. Lee faces a greatest jail sentence of 12 years for possession of methamphetamines if convicted.
