The American actor returns to the role of Ethan Hunt in "Mission: Impossible – Fallout", released July 27 in US cinemas.
Paramount Pictures has published the official trailer of the film mainly shot in Paris.
The 55-year-old actor returns to the role of Ethan Hunt, who has to race against time after a mission went wrong. Cruise joined the cast of Henry Cavill ("Superman"), Michelle Monaghan and Alec Baldwin. Also stars were Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Sean Harris, Angela Bassett, Vanessa Kirby, Wes Bentley and Frederick Schmidt.
Based on the TV show of the same name, the films "Mission: Impossible" are one of Hollywood's most lucrative franchises. The first film, released in 1996, grossed over $ 456 million worldwide. The 2011 film, "Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol", is the largest franchise success to date, grossing $ 692 million worldwide.
The most recent version, 2015 "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation", is in second place with over $ 682 million at the global box office. In total, the franchise has grossed $ 2.7 billion since it was launched in 1996. JB
