Instead, Mathieu stepped into the state border where the Chiefs are.
Les Miles, who coached Mathieu at LSU, is now the coach from Kansas. Ahead of his first press conference after signing with the Chiefs on Thursday, Mathieu tweeted: "Someone says coach miles I followed him to Kansas @ CoachLes Miles"
Within minutes, people responded to Mathieu telling him that the Chiefs are in Missouri.

"First of all," Mathieu said, "I was just trying to say hello to coaching Miles and then it got out of hand. I received a warm welcome this morning and no harsh feelings."
