The Depay would pass to the City
Memphis Depay had said he wanted to move to Manchester City.
The former Manchester United winger has rejuvenated his career in Lyon after closing a trip to the giants of Ligue 1 in 2017.
The Dutch moved to the Red Devils from Ajax in 2015 with many promises. But in a season and a half the 24-year-old has only rallied seven goals in 53 appearances.
This season Depay produced 12 assists and scored six goals in 22 games with Lyon.
Now the attacker is ready to start again, aiming for the bigger clubs this time, including Manchester City.
In an interview with Helden magazine, Depay revealed the six clubs he wants to play for the next – and none was United.
"Lyon is a great club, but not one of the top five in Europe," he said.
"I want to go to a club like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich …"
