Today the Minister of Higher Education opens the 5th international innovation exhibition in Cairo

The fifth Cairo International Innovation Exhibition, organized by the Academy for Scientific Research and Technology, will be held on Monday 8 and 9 November, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi. Nasr City.

During the exhibition, innovators and inventors, technology transfer centers at universities and research institutes, university students, pre-university education, associations of innovators and companies in emerging technology will present their innovations to visitors.

The exhibition will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Scientific Research in South Africa and the sponsors of innovation such as the Technology Authority Innovation, the National Research Funding Authority of South Africa, and the participation of some American universities such as Stanford University and the AUTM Foundation.

For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Saqr that the Academy for Scientific Research and Technology this year will receive financial awards and scholarships from 5 thousand to 200 thousand pounds for the best innovations and inventions that lead to the generation of national technology to support the winning innovations in the exhibition to stage of production to reach, Through the various programs of the Academy, such as the incubator program, the Business Accelerator 101, and your idea and Women Up, the Academy also presents medals for the winners of the exhibition in three categories: gold , silver and bronze. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will hold a medal and a shield through the exhibition.

Saqr added that the exhibition includes several partners, including Egyptian SMEs as strategic partners in the exhibition, CIT-sponsor of the digital industry at the exhibition, and EgyptAir, the official airline of the Cairo International Innovation Fair, and hired Wuzuff, the strategic partner of the exhibition.

The total number of exhibitions in the previous four sessions was 1260 ideas and innovations. The total number of prizes awarded was 165, divided over financial prizes and incubation with total funding of LE 4 million. Fourteen winners received 2.3 million Egyptian pounds. The exhibition has had the largest share of exhibitions and prizes, presenting more than 530 inventions from Egypt, China and a few Arab countries and awarding 86 prizes.The exhibition attracted 4,200 visitors and more than 2 million visitors to the exhibition page on social networking sites.

The 5th Cairo International Innovation Fair will be attended by ministers, state officials, investors, businessmen, banks and civil society organizations, as well as more than 600 innovative ideas, prototypes, inventions and innovations that are industrially applicable to more than 160 office innovations. Technology transfer and marketing, 50 incubator projects and emerging technology companies, more than 50 innovations of community innovation for individuals, participation of more than 55 national initiatives, campaigns and projects, deepening of local production and the participation of 14 alliances More than 100 innovations of the STEM schools and exploration centers, 50 ideas from the University of the Child, more than 50 graduation projects, more than 30 projects in art and scientific culture, as well as a special children's pavilion to display 3D scientific films and display usage. Physics in daily life , this year Pavilion Future Technologies has also been added, which contains artificial intelligence and internet objects and financial technologies.
