Rachel Henry (pictured), 22, who confessed to killing her two daughters and her son, reportedly was a methamphetamine user whose children had been removed from their home.

An Arizona mother suffocated her three young children while singing lullabies while two of her relatives sat in the living room without realizing what she was doing.

Rachel Henry, 22, of Phoenix, was arrested Tuesday and charged with three counts of murder after the bodies of her three, one, and seven month old children were found leaning on her couch “as if they were sleeping.” .

According to police, Henry admitted to suffocating the children by starting with his one-year-old daughter by placing her hands on the girl’s mouth and nose until she stopped moving.

Henry said the girl kicked while choking her in front of her three-year-old brother, who shouted ‘no’ and hit her, but it was in vain.

Henry told the officers that she left the girl’s body at the back of the house and chased her son until two relatives arrived at the property.

While they sat in the living room, Henry caught the boy and led him upstairs under the pretext of putting him down before suffocating him.

Investigators say the boy pinched and scratched while dying, but could not be saved.

A statement of probable cause presented in court by the police and then made public said that Henry (center) had admitted to deliberately suffocating each boy, two girls, seven months and one year old, and a three year old boy, beginning with The eldest daughter

Then he went to look for the seven-month-old girl, gave him a bottle to feed until he fell asleep and then suffocated her too.

Henry said he sang lullabies to the three children while they died.

Then he placed all three bodies on the couch “as if they were sleeping.” Some time later, the police were called to the property to receive reports of “unspecified” problems.

Officers said they were called by one of Henry’s relatives.

Authorities offered no possible motive for the murders, but court records cited one of the other adults in the house who told police that Henry “had an addiction to methamphetamine and had been acting strangely in recent days”.

It was also reported earlier Tuesday that the children had been removed from their family home due to Henry’s alleged addiction.

Henry, photographed holding a small child in 2013, placed the three children “on the sofa in the living room as if they were taking a nap” without telling any of the other two adults in the house what had happened.

Henry reported having stifled the next three-year-old boy, straddling him on the floor of a room while she sang to the boy.

Authorities said he later gave a bottle to his seven-month-old daughter before suffocating her, again while singing to the baby.

Henry related that he suffocated his three-year-old son and straddled him on the floor of a room while she sang to the boy.

A representative from the Maricopa County Prosecutor’s Office said Tuesday night that Henry apparently admitted having a history of methamphetamine addiction and that his children were removed from his care, according to AZ Central.

Authorities said the alleged drug abuse probably occurred in Oklahoma because the Arizona Department of Child Safety said it had no previous contacts with Henry.

The family moved to Arizona during the summer from Oklahoma.

The video filmed by the AZ Family station showed Henry dressed in a white Hazmat suit with his hands held behind his back, and they took her to the 4th Avenue jail, where she is being held without bail.

Henry said nothing in response to questions from journalists asking him to address the death of his children.

Those who met Henry while living in the city of Prague, Oklahoma, said she was a pleasant woman they trusted to care for their own children.

Anthony Repsher, whose wife Tiffani Hardy appears in photos with Henry, said he had known her for about six years.

Speaking to Fox10, he said that Henry would be the last person suspected of harming his own children.

In fact, I had even taken care of my children. I have never noticed any type of depression or anger or hostility towards children or anyone else. ‘

Henry initially claimed that an illness may have been a factor because young people had been sick earlier in the night.

According to reports, officers first received a ‘call of unknown problem’ from one of the parents and when the police arrived at the house, they were received by three adults.

The 30-year-old father and a 49-year-old relative identified in the court records drafted as the owner and an aunt were also questioned.

A neighbor told local journalists that he left after listening to a helicopter over the residential area.

David Ware said the property where the children were found included a landscaping business or plant nursery, with trucks entering and leaving often.

He told AZ Central: ‘I have always assumed it was an active business. I have never seen children on the property.

Ware said “the cops became frantic” at the scene, adding: “I get scared, you panic. You must make sure there is no danger present for your children.

Sergeant Fortune described the scene that the first responders found as “very difficult.”

The first responders who tried to save the children’s lives were sent home shortly after the traumatic event.

The family lives in a neighborhood with old wooden or stucco houses, where a white Spanish-style church adorns a corner.

But there are new buildings everywhere, with a golf course and several developments of single-family homes priced at more than $ 500,000.

Court records showed that Henry is being held in lieu of a $ 3 million bond.

It was not immediately clear if Henry had a lawyer. Your next court date is scheduled for January 31.
