Sooners start in NYC, continue in Lubbock – Soonersports.com

NEW YORK CITY – The OU track and field teams wrapped up the first competition day on the Dr. Sander Invitational / Columbia Challenge and the second day of action at the Texas Tech Classic and Multis on Friday. The Sooners competed 23 student athletes on day one at The Armory in New York City. First year Kristo Simulask finished the heptathlon and second year Abby Bilsbury took part in the pole vault at the Texas Tech Classic. Freshman Madison Langley-Walker placed Thursday as seventh overall in the pentathlon in Lubbock, Texas.

In New York, second-year student Langdon Williams stressed the day with his indoor personal best score of 24-1.5 (7.35m) and earned second place in the men's long jump. The Sooners sent three to the final in the 60-meter dashboard of the men and 60-meter hurdles.
