Police look for ‘dangerous’ suspect in 2015 stabbing at Maple Ridge

VANCOUVER –
Police are asking for help from the public to locate a suspect in a stabbing that took place outside a Maple Ridge pub four years ago.

Two people were hospitalized after being attacked in front of the Haney Public House on the Lougheed Highway in August 2015.

There was a trail of blood along the road after stabbing.

The RCMP secured the charges against Ricky Korasak, 34, last month, but said officers are still working to put him in custody.

“Ridge Meadows RCMP is making continuous attempts to arrest Mr. Korasak but has not been able to locate him,” the force said in a press release.

Korasak is one of three men who were allegedly involved in stabbing, according to the RCMP, and is charged with attachment for attempted murder and accessory for aggravated assault.

Authorities asked anyone to see Korasak to call 911 immediately, but said they should not contact the suspect.

“The police report that Mr. Korasak is considered dangerous,” said the RCMP.

Korasak is described as a 5’8 “tall Asian man who weighs 168 pounds and has black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on his right forearm that says LAOS.

People who wish to leave an anonymous notice about the whereabouts of Korasak can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8777 or leave a notice at SolveCrime.ca.
