Russians Maxim Odintsov, Alexander Baranov and Yevgeny Mefedov undergo the legal procedure for registering an exchange in Ukraine, reports TASS with reference to Russian civil lawyer Valentin Rybin.
According to him, the exchange should take place in the very near future. He clarified that we are talking about the Russians Odintsovo and Rybin, who were found guilty of desertion and high treason and sentenced to 13 and 14 years in prison, as well as Yevgeny Mefedov, known for the riot case of May 2 in Odessa. Mefedov is now accused of separatism, on August 16, the Central District Court of Nikolaev released him on bail.
The lawyer added that there are other Russians on the list, all concentrated in the collection points. Rybin expressed the hope that they would soon be sent for exchange.
Earlier, the Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova said that the list of Russians for an exchange with Kiev includes 50 people.
