A Department of Transportation employee was injured after being hit by a vehicle that also hit two DOT trucks in a construction zone on I-84 in Patterson.
The incident occurred around 9:40 am, Thursday, July 11, at I-84 near mile mark 63.3, in Patterson, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
According to Hicks, an unidentified driver hit the two trucks in a construction area and then hit the worker who could prevent serious injuries by taking evasive measures.
The employee suffered non-life-threatening injuries, he added.
The right lane of I-84 is closed for construction and is expected to remain closed until the work is completed, police said.
Motorists are asked to be careful in the area.
