A new Publix could come to the center of Orlando.

The Florida supermarket chain viewed the 15,000-square-foot Ferg & # 39; s Depot at 78 W. Church Street, according to Orlando Business Journal.

The space used to be a sports bar and a restaurant that was closed in August 2018. The new store is said to be nearly a mile away from the Publix, which is already in central Orlando on East Central Boulevard.

OBJ reports that the location of the Ferg site could house a reduced Publix, similar to the GreenWise market that opened in Tallahassee in 2018. The GreenWise markets include a drinks bar, as well as freshly prepared dishes such as rolls, acai bowls and sushi.
