After robbers threatened family and young children, Dalton PD offers reward for info

Dalton Police are offering a reward for information after they say a family who had just received a home from a trip at gunpoint in their driveway and robbed.

In a statement Tuesday, Dalton Police spokesman Bruce Frazier says it happened last year on Chatham Drive in the Windemere subdivision.

On May 30th, 2018, the family pulled into their driveway around 8 p.m., having just returned from a trip to Atlanta.

Dalton Police says he was soon, two cars drove up and a passenger got out of each vehicle. The cars were described as a newer model White Chevy Impala and a newer model silver Nissan Maxima, and investigators think they were rentals out of Atlanta.

Frazier says the suspects pointed guns at the family, including their children under the age of 4, and robbed them. The suspects are described as black males, both under the age of 30, of medium height and build, and wearing dark clothing. Dalton Police don't have a description for the drivers.

To a woman, including a Cartier nail bracelet, a gold Rolex watch, a David Yurman gold ring, a white gold diamond tennis bracelet, two Louis Vuitton bags, and pairs of RayBan / Prada sunglasses.

Investigators say the suspects spotted the family around 6 p.m. that evening in the parking lot of the Phipps Plaza shopping mall in Atlanta. They then followed them home to Dalton and robbed them.

Dalton Police have a $ 3,000 reward for leading to arrests in this case. If you know anything about what happened, please call Detective John Edwards at 706-278-9085, dial 9 and then enter ext. 152.
