Activision offering reimbursements for Guitar Hero Live in the United States

The company issues a voluntary reimbursement program for late buyers

posted on

Activision announced a voluntary reimbursement program for customers who purchased the Guitar Hero Live gaming system from December 1, 2017 in the United States.

Customers can qualify for a refund if they purchased Guitar Hero Live in the United States during the period beginning on December 1, 2017 and ending on January 1, 2019; and submit a complaint form completed by the deadline of 1 May 2019.

Clients deemed eligible for a refund will receive a prepaid (or similar) Visa card 8-12 weeks after the end of the claim period on May 1, 2019. Reimbursement amounts vary based on the purchase price and whether it is possible to confirm a purchase. Activision has the sole discretion to deny or approve requests. Details can be found on the home page of the game.

The move is probably due to the shutdown of last year's live music services, which means that only the songs on disk now work in the game.

Guitar Hero Live was launched in 2015 on PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
