The Dusseldorf city dean should have become over-grip on an intern. In the case of 2012 also determined the prosecutor's office.
The high clergyman of the catholic church in Duesseldorf, Ulrich Hennes, has been on leave because of the reproach of the sexual harassment of all offices on leave. It is about a case that should have occurred in 2012 against an adult intern, said the Cologne Archdiocese on Tuesday.
The note was received last Thursday. The Dusseldorf city dean – head of the Catholic parishes in the city – was then on leave from the Cologne Cardinal Rainer Maria Woelki until the completion of the proceedings initiated. The cleric himself denies the reproach.
The archdiocese has forwarded the appropriate notice according to the prosecutor. In addition, one has independently opened an internal church procedure. "We do not tolerate any form of sexual assault and consistently follow the relevant instructions and suspicions," Woelki explained. The archbishopric also emphasized that the presumption of innocence applies.
