A few days after the attack against the Secretary of Citizen Security of Mexico City, Omar García Harfuch, who is convalescing from the injuries he suffered, organized crime launched a new threat against him.
The warning began to spread on social networks, where criminals warn that “they are not going to take their finger off the line.”
The threat comes days after, as reported MILLENNIUM Television, the National Intelligence Center (CNI) told the security cabinet that members of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel were planning to attack an official.
This information was confirmed by the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Alfonso Durazo, by the Head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum and President Andrés Manuel López Obrador himself.
This caused an order to reinforce the security of some members of the cabinet considering their work and that they could be exposed to some type of aggression.
In the video released on Tuesday, Harfuch is accused of an operation carried out with the Secretary of the Navy that ended with people being killed.
Likewise, mention is made of relatives of the official who have held important positions in the Ministry of National Defense and who have been active in the PRI.
What do we know about the attack?
Omar García Harfuch suffered an attack on the morning of June 26 when he was driving through Lomas de Chapultepec, which left three people dead, including two policemen, and at least 12 detainees.
The attack occurred at approximately 6:38 am at the intersection of Paseo de la Reforma and Monte Blanco, where armed men from the Jalisco cartel, according to the official himself, shot them with long Barret-type weapons.
García Harfuch’s escorts repelled the attack, in which the secretary was wounded with three bullet wounds and several splinters from firearms, so, after being attended by Red Cross volunteers, he was transferred to a hospital where he entered to the operating room due to injuries.
