Necrotizing fasciitis (Necrotising fasciitis, NF) is a rare and rapidly progressive subcutaneous bacterial infection. Few studies have characterized NF in dogs. The aim of this study was to retrospectively describe the clinical and laboratory findings, treatment and outcome in dogs with NF.

23 proprietary dogs treated at a university veterinary hospital between 1998 and 2021 were included in the study.
