Expect 10,000 players and officials to visit
From the 21st to the 29th of this month, Sunchang-gun will hold a nationwide soft tennis competition encompassing elementary, middle, high school, college, and business teams at the public playground soft tennis court to strengthen local sports competitiveness and revitalize the local economy.

This tournament is hosted by the Korea Soft Tennis Association, hosted by the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Soft Tennis Association, and jointly sponsored by Sunchang-gun and Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province.
This competition is a representative performance of the sports competition attraction project that Sunchang-gun is focusing on, and is evaluated as part of strategic sports marketing aimed at promoting local consumption through the influx of external visitors.
This event is held in Sunchang-gun for 14 consecutive years, and is considered a representative example of the close cooperative relationship between Sunchang-gun and the Korea Soft Tennis Association.
As this is a competition that has been going on for such a long time, it is also evidence of the high national trust in Sunchang-gun’s soft tennis infrastructure and operational capabilities.
Approximately 1,200 athletes and officials are expected to visit Sunchang-gun during the competition, and the cumulative number of visitors is expected to reach 10,000. As a result, it is expected that there will be a substantial increase in sales throughout the local commercial area, including lodging establishments and restaurants, and local small business owners are also responding positively.
