Truck collision on International Route E-79

In a separate incident, a collision involving two heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) took place at approximately 3:00 PM near the village of Smolyanovtsi, along the E-79 international route. The trucks involved were of Turkish and Bulgarian origin. The driver of the Bulgarian truck was hospitalized due to injuries incurred in the crash.

Authorities temporarily restricted traffic on the Montana-Vidin road, specifically in the Smolyanovtsi-Belotintsi section, in both directions. A detour was established, guiding traffic through Montana-Studena Buche-Dr. Yosifovo-Slavotin-Smirnenski-Dabova neighborhood-Drenovets-Belo Pole-Ruzhintsi.
