Through Twitter, FDG Entertainment and Game Atelier studio announced an update to Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. Those who already have their copy of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be able to download the version for next-generation consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, for free.
The update provides for a native resolution of 4K at 120 frames per second via HDMI 2.1. Publisher FDG Entertainment has hinted that Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom will use some of the unique features of the DualSense controller on PlayStation 5.
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom was released in 2018 on PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One. A PC version (GOG and Steam) has been available since 2019, followed by a Stadia version in 2020. Monster Boy fans should watch the development of Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World who share many of the same qualities.
