To promote education reform, Moldova will receive a $5 million grant from the Global Partnership for Education (PGE) fund. This was announced on its official website by the Ministry of Education and Science.

PGE financial assistance is aimed at supporting education reforms. The grant application was submitted in early 2022, and on June 21, 2022, the PGE Board of Governors informed the Ministry of the approval of the grant.

The goal of the program is to ensure equal opportunities for quality education available to all children and adolescents, boys and girls, and to increase the resilience of the system in response to the experience and lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under this program, funds will be distributed to:

  • strengthening the digital learning environment by developing curricula for digital learning and training teachers to use them;

  • improving the efficiency of education management with the help of digital technologies.
