Remembering Michael Costello: A Life Well Loved
A Gentle Departure
Michael Costello passed away peacefully at The Mayo Hospice on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025. He leaves behind a cherished legacy in Doogary, Aghamore, Co Mayo; Clooncullane, Creggs, Co Galway; Stockport, Cheshire, UK; The Grove, Manchester; and recently from Sonas Nursing Home, Knock.
Family Loss
Michael will be deeply missed by his family. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Thomas and Mary-Kate, and his brothers, Eamonn and John Joe. Despite his loss, their love and memories will live on for a lifetime.
Lovingly Remembered
Michael will be remembered with love by his daughters, Tracy (Ennis) and Paula (Redman, Stockport). His family thanks their mother, Della Lyons, grandson Henry, and son-in-law Jonathan for their support. Michael’s brothers Laurence, Seamus, Paul, Christy, and Kevin, along with his sister Evelyn (Donoghue), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, cousins, and friends, will all miss him dearly.
Rest in Peace
May Michael Costello Rest in Peace. His spirit will continue to thrive in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His passing signifies a departure from this world, but his impact will remain invaluable.
Funeral Arrangements
Family requests that Michael will repose in Divilly’s Funeral Home, located at F45 XY45, Glenamaddy, on Monday, February 3rd, from 6pm until 8pm, followed by removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Glenamaddy.
Farewell Ceremony
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 4th, at 12noon, with burial to follow in the new Cemetery, Creggs Road, Glenamaddy.
Memorial Acknowledgment
Family flowers are requested only if desired, and donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Mayo Hospice.
