To successfully apply for your professional card online, you will need the following:

• Your unique population registration key (CURP)
• Your SAT advanced Electronic signature
• A valid credit Bank card for payment

Step-by-step Guide to Online Application

Follow these steps to complete your application:

1. Visit the official website: www.gob.mx/CEDULAPROFESIONAL
2. Click on the option to “Process your professional or duplicate card online.”
3. Enter your CURP or personal data, and complete the “I am not a robot” verification.
4. Carefully verify that all your facts is accurate and provide a valid email address.
5. Select whether you are applying for a title or a card, or a duplicate.
6. Confirm the declaration of truthfulness and upload the required electronic signature files from your computer.
7. choose your payment method and click “Proceed to payment.” Note that Spei payment is currently unavailable.
8. Once your payment is processed, you will be able to download your digital ID.

Digital delivery and Document Validity

The SEP has confirmed that your professional card will be delivered in digital format directly to your email inbox. This digital card holds the same legal validity as other essential documents such as your birth certificate, CURP, driver’s licence, and vehicle registration card.

Crucial Notice for Graduates Before 2018

Credential Format Cards remain Valid

Existing professional cards in the traditional credential format remain valid. If you happen to lose your physical card, you can now request a replacement using this new streamlined online procedure.
