The nurses stood in three lines to speed up the process. One after another received their dose and those who preferred to wait could go to the chairs and be monitored in case they had an adverse reaction, but the vast majority entered and left the tent. Jazmín Gutiérrez commented that she decided to go to the module because she has trips scheduled in the coming weeks, in addition to not knowing if her vaccination record is complete.

The children are the most vulnerable, so at home we all get vaccinated for my nephews, who are in second and third grade. […]. I think it’s great that they have placed modules in central locations that are accessible to everyone. That we can go when we get off work or school,” he said.
Meanwhile, at Hospitalito, Margarita Hernández stated that many people also came to get vaccinated against measles, but the process was quick and efficient. “I wanted to come early because they had told me that there were a lot of people and yes, there are many adults and young people, but everything was very fast and very well organized. […]. It seems irresponsible to me not to get vaccinated. It is a very easy disease to prevent and that had already been eradicated, but again there is an outbreak because people simply stopped vaccinating.”

Everyone under 49 years of age should be vaccinated against measlesaccording to the recommendation of the Ministry of Health of Jalisco, although the Priority is for babies between six and 11 months old and children between 1 and 4 years old. In the entity, more than 650 vaccination points were enabled in health centers, IMSS units, ISSSTE, light rail stations and public and commercial centers.

Meanwhile, as a measure to contain the outbreak, Starting on February 5 and for a minimum period of 30 days, the use of face masks will be mandatory for students, teachers and administrative staff in basic education plants in the municipalities of Tlaquepaque, Tonalá, Guadalajara, Zapopan, El Salto, Tlajomulco and Ixtlahuacán de los Membrillos.
So far in 2026, Jalisco has more than 1,800 confirmed cases of measleswhich occupies first place nationally.
