Marriage is often celebrated as a milestone in life, bringing love, companionship, and shared experiences. However (According to the study) however, new research suggests that it may also increase the risk of obesity, particularly for men. Studies from 2018, have shown that the likelihood of obesity is directly linked to marriage. While both men and women may experience weight gain after tying the knot, the impact seems to be more significant for men.
The study, conducted on couples in Poland, is scheduled to be presented in Spain, had some stunning revelations. For instance, married men were found to be 62% more likely to be overweight, compared to 39% in women. Moreover, married men were found to be 3.2 times more likely to be obese than their unmarried counterparts.
