A Peaceful Departure

On February 18th, 2025, Margaret Higgins left this world peacefully, surrounded by the compassionate care of Mayo University Hospital staff.

Family Legacy

Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Frances, leaving a void in the lives of her loved ones. She will be remembered fondly by her siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Beloved Sister and Aunt

Her brother John and sister Mary (Nunan) will undoubtedly miss her presence. Margaret’s nieces and nephews Catherine, Frank, Kevin, and Vera (Freddie) along with her grandnephew Finn (Schmeisser) will treasure the memories they shared with her.

Extended Family and Friends

Margaret’s sister-in-law Mary and brother-in-law Eamon will also be among those grieving her loss. The depth of her connection extended to numerous relatives, neighbors, and friends who will remember her kindness and gentle soul.

Memorial and Funeral Services

A visitation will be held at the O’Hora Funeral Home, located at Kiltimagh, F12 Y1F7, on Thursday evening, from 6pm until 7:30pm. The body will be removed to the Church of the Holy Family, Kiltimagh, where a funeral Mass will commence at 8pm.

The Funeral Mass for Margaret Higgins will take place on Friday at 12 noon. After the Mass, her remains will be laid to rest in Kilkinure Cemetery.
