Mama Shelter Val Thorens ouvrira en 2027.

Ennismore, the fastest growing lifestyle hospitality group, is delighted to announce the signing of Mama Shelter Val Thorens, Europe’s highest ski resort. Scheduled for 2027, the famous brand of joyful and irreverent hospitality will inaugurate its very first resort there, creating a true refuge in the heart of the Alps. This ambitious project is led by Ennismore, Vista, Financière Galata and Cogeco, partners united by a common objective: to reinvent the mountain experience by bringing fresh, free and friendly energy.

The first Mama Shelter resort

With 148 rooms, a restaurant with a panoramic terrace totaling more than 800 m², Mama Shelter Val Thorens is much more than a hotel: it is a warm and vibrant place to live at altitude, where skiers, families and friends come together to share intense, funny and authentic moments.

Here, we experience the mountain in Mama style: relaxation, celebration and real emotions. After the slopes, head to the bar for a creative cocktail, the karaoke to sing off-key but loudly, or the “ Ski Lounge » to meet up with friends. The teenagers have their den in the “ Teen Room », and everyone enjoys a moment of relaxation at the spa, equipped with a sauna, a hammam, treatment cabins, a fitness area and an indoor swimming pool offering a breathtaking view of the peaks.

A mountain of energy and creativity

Mama Shelter Val Thorens revisits the codes of staying in the mountains. Designed as a festive and uninhibited Resort, it celebrates skiing, relaxation and conviviality. Each space is designed for living, laughing, dancing, and getting together, with that touch of madness and generosity that makes Mama’s signature. The project is developed with the support of a consulting firm BREEAM and aims for certification “ Very Good », highlighting its commitment to sustainable construction. As part of this, and among other initiatives, the project seeks to recover the majority of its construction waste, ensuring that materials are reused, recycled or recovered rather than landfilled, in accordance with BREEAM standards.

Cédric Gobilliard, Managing Director of Mama Shelter, Ennismore, said: With the opening of our first Resort in Val Thorens, Mama Shelter is shaking up the codes and revolutionizing mountain hospitality. We bring our free, festive and creative spirit where we were not expected: in the heart of the Alps. It’s a turning point in our adventure, and a new way of experiencing the mountains.

Jean-François Delettre, Manager of the Galata Group, states: With this Mama Shelter Val Thorens project, the Galata Group reaffirms its desire to be at the forefront of new generation mountain hospitality. We imagine unique and lively places to stay, designed for those who love freedom, conviviality and true emotion. Alongside Mama Shelter, we are carrying out a project that reflects this vision: entertaining, open and creative hospitality, where we come together around winter sports to party, or relax and fully enjoy the unique energy of the Alps. Our ambition is simple: to make the mountains vibrate differently, for the travelers of today and those of tomorrow.

Marc Goutille, President of Cogeco, specifies: A real estate developer for more than 30 years, Cogeco strives to carry out quality projects, while respecting the territories that host them and the women and men who inhabit them. Aware of the responsibility that this implies, we participate in defining the living environment of today and tomorrow, with the desire to share with our customers and partners a “community of aspiration for happiness” of creating and living a Cogeco program. It is with these strong convictions that we have the pleasure of leading this beautiful project in Val Thorens alongside Mama Shelter, Financière Galata, Vista and all of our partners who contribute to its realization. !
